The Department of Chemistry & Toxicology is a premier academic and research unit at the Government Institute of Forensic Science, Nagpur, dedicated to the scientific pursuit of justice. We apply advanced principles of analytical chemistry and toxicology to examine and identify critical evidence, including poisons, illicit drugs, arson materials, and explosives. The department is integral to the Institute's curriculum, offering specialized core courses for both the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Forensic Science programs.
