To establish robust research governance, encourage interdisciplinary research, facilitate industry and academic collaboration, and promote student and faculty engagement in research.

Objectives of the RDC
Promote and monitor research activities across all departments.
Establish collaborations with academic institutions, industries, and forensic agencies.
Support faculty and students in securing research grants and publishing in reputed journals.
Ensure ethical compliance and quality assurance in research.
Conduct capacity-building programs, seminars, and workshops.
Composition of the committee as per the statutory norms


Functions of the RDC
Formulation and implementation of research policies.
Identification of thrust areas and emerging fields in forensic science.
Facilitation of research project proposals and funding.
Capacity-building through training programs and FDPs.
Coordination of interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research.
Monitoring and evaluation of research progress and outcomes.
SPECIAL TASKS:
Seed fund generation for student’s research:
BEEJ (Building Excellence and Exploration in Junior Research)
The M.Sc. Final Year students will be provided with 5000/- Rs seed fund for research projects/dissertations.
Selection of the students will be based on screening of the research proposals by the expert committee.
The seed fund will be generated through faculty contribution/CSR.
Students need to publish at least 01 research article in Scopus/web of science indexed journal.
